Young, sensitive skin is something we take seriously. As a parent, you want to make sure your child is getting the highest quality ingredients, without causing harm or damaging their young skin.
Why use a pre-teen and teen-specific skincare line?
Your tween and teen skin routine is quite different from an adult's. It's less about fighting wrinkles and everything to do with fighting pimples due to hygiene and hormones.
The problem with typical acne-fighting skincare is that they usually use harsh treatments in an attempt to control oil production with very drying ingredients. This causes the skin to become flaky, trapping oil and dirt under the flaky layer, and breakouts persist.
Is your skincare suitable for teen boys and tween boys?
Yes! Our clean, antioxidant-packed formulas know no gender! They are powerful on teen acne, without drying their skin out. The organic ingredients have been specially formulated to be both purifying and hydrating, while also keeping the skin naturally clean and clear.
Is your skincare suitable for pre-teens, like age 9-12 years old?
Yes! This was inspired by our founding family's 10 year old. Check out the Meet the Founders video for more information.
What chemicals are toxic for young skin? Why does it matter?
There are a lot of chemicals used in many popular cosmetics and skincare products today that are actually harmful for skin, especially sensitive skin. They are typically harsh, irritating the skin, causing redness, and even worse - breakouts and rashes.
Studies have also linked these chemicals to health concerns including cancer and hormone disruption (carcinogens and endocrine disruptors). Teens use more products than any other age group and are more susceptible to the negative impact of many of the common ingredients. These ingredients can include:
Parabens (chemicals used to extend the shelf life of a product)
Phthalates (widely used synthetic preservative)
Triclosan (typically found in anti-bacterial skin care)
Fragrance - we knooow that teens love fragrance, but it's not good for their skin
Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)
